The Awakening (Part One)PrologueOne night in a dreaded town ... Sleeps a creature so fierce it could could tear through reality easily. The Creature was a Monolisk; a ghastly dragon like creature that spews four horns out of its head. Wings spread to the diameter of an arena. It could breathe fire, ice , and can eat souls. It lay in a dim-lit tower, sharply pointed in shape and if touched could burn the human skin and incinerate it.A noise.- CRACK - CRACK -The crackling of stone and molten rock; the ground shakes fiercely. The tower floor next to the Monolisk crumbles and melts. A figure emerges from the newly made whole. From the looks it would have been Malistaire or Cyrus, but they were killed fifty years ago by a wizard named Isaiah Spelldust who got frozen in a block of ice and death magic after he killed Malistaire. Anyways the figure was not a wizard, but the half human soul eater Ash Gorblood; a decendant of Malistaire before he became evil. Ash had an long blade that glowed tremendously, called the anthem of integrity and cunning swiftness. There was only two of them in the Spiral. And Ash had one."Finally." Ash started "I can now begin the first step into awakening the Monolisk."With a swift move of his anthem through the air, all of the fire from the tower had gone into the Monolisk, disrupting its slumber. Its eyes opened slowly, and Dragonspyre started to crumble. To be continued ...The Awakening (part two - Chapter One : The Mission and Chapter Two: Zah' nul's encounter)Chapter One : The missionWizard City is busy this time of year. Awakening (Part Three : chapter 3: Baxter finds out and chapter 4: Zeke's betrayal) Chapter three : Baxter finds out Back at the Library where everyone was stationed Baxter paces nervously in one of the rows of scrolls. Where is he, Baxter thought to him self, I have to go look. A mander soldier came up to Baxter. "Hello sir." Said the soldier. "Name's Burk Duhn' kal." They shook hands, and Baxter went back to pacing. "I have news on Zah' nul sir." Burk continued. Baxter looked up. "What news good fellow, I ust know. He could be in grave danger." Burk leaned up against a nearby shelf shuffling his hands and looking down. "What is it." Baxter sounded more concerned now. "Bloody boy tell me!" Burk looked up, then in to the distance. "He is in Krokophinx sir." Then left. "What!'' Baxter exclaimed. Darn fool's gonna get himself killed! I must hurry!"Baxter ran out of the shelves of scrolls, got his sword, and dashed out the front door of the library. What is gonna happen to Baxter out in that storm? Will he find Zah'nul? To be continued ... Chapter 4 : Zekes betrayal Meanwhile in the spiral chamber of Wizard City... After gathering a slew of items Zeke took his spiral key and opened the door to Krokotopia. As he walks in the chamber, he noticed the doorkeeper, Shar' tali, wasn't there. "Hello!" He called. Then headed out into the Oasis. As soon as the storm hit Zeke all of his things he brought, including his old hat had blown off and flew into the breeze. Suprised, Zeke chased after it. And chased... And chased... "Where it be?" Said Zeke to himself, scratching his head. As some of the sand had cleared away, Zeke had came to notice that he had stumbled onto the ferry to Krokosphinx. Then, some enchantment made it go. But who? Zeke looked around while the wind was blowing (but dying down some) He shouted. "Hello dere?" Nobody. He was about to shout again, but a figure came from inside the hull of the ferry. That figure as Zeke presumed is Zah' nul. But as the reader you very well know him as General Kahibi. "Hello there Zeke." The copy Zah' nul said. "Why hey dere!" Exclaimed Zeke. "Yer da person dat I've been wantin' ta see!" "Oh yes I am!" Kahibi Shouted, then put a veil of chains around him and locked him in the cupboard in the hull. Will Kahibi get the shard to Ash Gorblood? Or will Baxter find him in time and challenge him to a deul? Find out soon. To be continued ....

The Awakening (Part 4) Chapter Five Baxter's Discovery. Coming through the sifting and dying down sandstorm was Baxter running, sword drawn. 'I need to get to Zah'nul now!' Thoughts were racing through his mind as fast as he was running. At the step's of the ferry all was quiet. Baxter stopped. "Zah'nul!" He shouted. All was quiet... He screamed this time. "Zah'nul! ! !" Nothing. A noise. Like muffling and muttering. Baxter looked around and found out that the sound came from an old sandy cupboard. He made a gulp. Sword at the ready, he swung the cupboard door open. To his surprise it wasn't Zah'nul. But it was Zeke, all chained up and stuffed inside the corner of the cupboard. "Zeke! ?" Baxter Exclaimed. "Aye it be me." Zeke frowned. There was a bold gash on his forehead. It was bleeding vigorously, and bruises upon his cheeks. Baxter carefully took Zeke out and cleaned him up with a pixie spell. "Who did this to you?" Said Baxter. "Kahibi." Zeke said. Baxter gasped. "How did he get to you?" "Well, that be jus' da thing." Zeke continued. "At first it was Zah' nul, but Kahibi put on a cloaking spell. Baxter, he be carrying precious cargo. The last Fire Shard ta unlock da awakening of Isaiah Spelldust." Baxter gasped again. "Oh dear, that is why I am here for this expedition; I was searching for it. How could I have been so unaware! Call me a fool." "I must send da word ta Ambrose now." Zeke said. "I'm sorry Zeke." Said Baxter. "But the weather condtions have gotten worse. And I might say that you are'nt in good condition either." "Aye, ye be right." Grunted Zeke. He sat upright and took a sip of coconut cordial from his canteen. (Which happened to be the only thing that did'nt blow out of his hands.) Baxter sat upright on a nearby bench and thought. "I'll send a mander to Ambrose. Could you manage staying here while I do that and find out how to get Kahibi?" "Ok." Frowned Zeke and took another sip of his bitter beverage. Baxter ran out fast, putting his scabbard back into his sheath... Chapter Six (Part 1) Kahibi's Palace. ... Meanwhile General Kahibi was trying to figure out how to send the shard to Ash Gorblood. "Kirshen!" He shouted. And a mander slave popped out of another room and scurried to Kahibi's throne. "Yes sir?" It asked "I have an errand for you. I need you to go to Dragonspyre and tell my most trusted ally, Valken TimeBreaker, to assemble his troops for a delivery mission." Kirshen nodded, wrote the request on a piece of parchment, and scurried of again. "Now that I have the last shard, I can take it to Ash and get my final payment." Kahibi said to himself. "In the meantime, I have a surprise for the visitor that's coming my way. Hehe..." Chapter Six (Part 2) Baxter's Encounter. Baxter ran back to the library, and told one of the most trusted mander's he knew, Kuken Mak, to send message to Ambrose about Zeke and the Fire Shard. Then he summoned a minion of Balance, a Scorpion. "Why have you sssummoned meeeee." The Scorpion hissed. "I need to location of Kahibi, the Spiral is in grave danger." Baxter said to the Scorpion. "I sssseeeeeee.!" The Scorpion said. "You sshall find him in his palace; here is the sssspell to open up the portal there." The Scorpion gave Baxter the card for it and went away. Baxter read the instruction's to himself. 'Go in the middle of the oasis and wave your wand two circle's left, one downward swoop, and one circle right. The portal will open up and last for 30 seconds.' The instruction's seemed simple enough, Baxter thought. He closed his spellbook and ran off to the portal's position. He waved his wand the way the spell said and sure enough, the portal quickly opened up. After he had jumped in, he appeared in front of a large palace made of bronze and gold. It stood about two stories high and flame torches were lined across every wall. 'Wow.' Baxter thought to himself as he was walking up the stairs, scabbard in hand. When he walked up into the first room, a figure emerged from the black. "Hello Baxter." The figure said. "We've been expecting you." "Who goes there?" Baxter Shouted. As the figure emerged, Baxter noticed him as Al' Habeen, Kahibi's trusted servant. "Time to die!" Al' Habeen shouted. Baxter drew his sword. "Bring it on." To be continued...

The Awakening Part 5 By Isaiah Spelldust Chapter Seven: The Battle of Al' Habeen Back in Kahibi's Palace, Baxter is about to fight Al' Habeen.... Baxter pulls out his Scabbard, Al ' Habeen has his staff tighly gripped in his claws. "You wont be going any further." Al' Habeen promises. "That's what you think." Baxter draws out a Cyclops, and knocks Al' Habeen out of focus. In return, Al' Habeen takes out a Hydra and catches Baxter off guard. He steps back and re-paces himself. Baxter uses a quick pixie spell, recuperates, and does a fire dragon. Al' Habeen falls to the ground, stricken and paralyzed. "You'll..... never...." Al' Habeen stammers. "Ugh......" He falls down, turning into ashes as death consumes him. Baxter falls back with relief. 'I need to be more attentive.' Baxter says in his mind while taking a big sigh and continuing his journey up a spiral staircase. He reached a small room. With scrolls and shelves lined up on every wall. There were no doors or stairs, just scrolls and walls. He scratched his head. CLICK A noise coming from one of the shelves of scrolls. The shelf opened, and a little purple Mander popped out. It was Kirshen, and he had the command that Kahibi had given him. He looked up, but before he could even gasp, Baxter took a rather large scroll and wrapped it around Kirshen. Muffles came from inside the wide parchment that was engulfing his Mander face. "Wh..o.... are......you...?" Is all he managed to get out of it, then fell to the ground.A free hand popped out as he fell and dropped Kahibi's command. Baxter picked it up and read it. It sounded important, thought, so he stuck it inside one of his pouches for safekeeping. The secret scroll door was still cracked open, and Baxter scurried through, hoping that it wouldn't slam on him. The door led to another spiral staircase, which seemed to last forever. Finally he reached the top of the staircase. Out of breath and exhausted from the fight, Baxter sat down to take a break. Until he looked up. As he thought, he realized that he a stumbled into Kahibi's Throne Room. It was large of course, and lined with gold anf torches. As soon as he noticed the room, he noticed Kahibi's wand smack him and knock him out. All went black, and Baxter was soon to be in grave danger..... To be continued....
